September Blues (or should it be Purple?)

the Keeper finally swept the broom.
she has decided to finally let go

of the trillion stuff stored

through all her shopaholic years

spent on a manic buying spree

which earned her the title:

“frequent buyer”. . .

a “frequent buyer” is wooed
with discounts, freebies, whatnots

and before you know it

the keeper has stashed
unimaginable thingamajigs

enough to open her own

department store!
oh-la-la!

the saturation point? there was none.
she just acquired loads of folios

(her trillion work projects enough to put workaholics to shame!)

and realized she has no SPACE to store them! omigosh.

she looked around cramped heaven and her growing work folios and
in her true dramatic fashion she wailed like there’s no tomorrow.
she realized something has to go.

between her folios and her shopping stash
,
her treasured work documents
definitely won hands down.

the keeper whipped out her notebook and made an inventory
of goodies
and stuff some of which were practically stored unused
in their original boxes that practically cram her closet!

she finished her list & declared with a sigh:

“that’s it, I am having a garage sale!”

bravo!
the other keeper shouted.

declog! edit! delete!
. . .

and so for three days the keeper started clearing her closet
and with tears in her eyes declared:

tata, my precious loot! i loved thee, i bought thee,
i spent sleepless nights juggling my exhausted savings
just to pay for thee, but alas, it is time for goodbye!

i practically choked in my drool.
i watched the keeper with mixed emotions.
a mixture of pity, boredom and glee.
geez, how can anybody be so attached to all these expensive loot?
it isn’t as if they can lick your face at the end of a tiring day
or kiss and cuddle your tired self at day’s end.
or am i just witnessing the tragedy
of a pathetic shopaholic?!

the keeper flings her weary self at me
and i nestled my furry self close in comfort.
more than anything, i'm going to be with my keeper
on this sad episode

by weekend, the keeper mustered her creative flair
to display her stuff and when she finished,
the garage looked like a chic boutique in an expensive mall!
wow! a garage sale in style.

i drooled in awe.

people hesitated at heaven's gate but when they saw keeper's stuff and her outrageous low, giveaway prices they practically scrambled like mad! this made keeper happy knowing her stuff are going to the right people.

the keeper was so happy she promised to buy me new toys, new pillows, new collar, new bowl. . .

i should be happy but I’m not so sure.
clearing stuff to buy new ones are not exactly clear to me . . .

i hug my old, smelly pillow.
i can still live with this one for another year
so i’ll pass on new stuff for now.
er, but maybe a new collar with neon lights
and silly bells that will surely irritate
the spirit elementals around heaven.

geez. now that is a much better gig.
