My Mission Impossible

. . . is to keep watch over my popsy Sumo.

And this time I am on top of the job!

However, after holding our usual official SuperDog pose in front of our camera freak Keeper, we stretch out, yawn, and whine for munchies. Sorry but we can not hold on to that serious pose for too long because of the blasting heat!

I won't pretend that I am not bored to my wits with this WatchDog chore. And yet I do this every freaking day! Don't ask why I have to do this since my popsy is pretty OK after his recent home check-up with our two new lady vets Doctors Fe and Miriam, who thinks I am "cute", by the way . . . my popsy is, I think, I'm sure, officially out of that depression thing. Whatever.

I should rejoice like Keeper but this 34 degrees blasting heat in Heaven has given me skin allergies (dry, itchy skin) from too much washing, I suspect, but I have no choice. I have to take at least TWO baths every week or I'll dehydrate in this freaky weather. . .

Hmmm, maybe I should include this global warming to my SuperDog agenda . . .

SuperDog Update

I am Sumo reporting for duty.
I may still be recuperating from the heartbreak of losing my great love Pica but I am still the AlphaDog and I still do a very keen job of looking around Heaven and watching my family, even if most of the time it is my grown-up puppies, Bogart and Sweepy, who is looking after me.

In one of my great walks around Rainbow Avenue, I looked around and watched the quiet scene. RainbowAve has been quiet after the Holy Week with less stray and roaming dogs except the ones owned by a neighbor several houses away. No matter how many times Keeper would call their attention, the people in this house would often neglect to close their gate when they go out and their black dog would often come in and out and this dog would practically spends his day strolling down Rainbow and trying to mate another dog owned by the storekeeper down the road, eating trash scattered by roaming dogs and possibly catching some virus and passing it on to his human keepers! Serves them right.

Keeper is quite busy since the start of the year so she was not able to update the community leaders about it. She is working on it this week.

Meanwhile, Rainbow has some new developments: the Meralco guys started repairing the street posts. They seemed eager to do this after they were forced to turn off some streetlights some years back after the past local leader failed to settle our town's huge electric bill! After having dark streets for years and exposing the community to robbers and all, our new Mayor took the responsibility of clearing the electric bill issue so we now have well-lighted streets since last year!

The efficient Mayor Cataquiz also updated the garbage collection so our garbage are collected practically everyday! Keeper said the good Mayor also cleared the town's major streets of illegal vendors in coordination with the MMDA. See what good leadership can bring you! I just hope the good Mayor will soon realized that the people he delegated to oversee the implementation of the Animal Welfare Act is SLEEPING ON THE JOB! For barking out loud! Wait till Keeper submits her report, Mayor!

In the meantime, Sweepy and Bogart goes barking like crazy in the other blogsite while keeping watch over me and Heaven. They sure make a good pair. Such great hounds. My best pups. They have taken over my job while I am recuperating. Someday, I'll find time to play and cuddle with them. Soon, when I get well and the weather is not too freaking hot for play. See you soon!

Sumo,
The SuperDog too!
