Animal Day!

Yesterday was pretty strange.
For one, it was declared "Animal Day"
and it gave the excuse for keepers
to groom and dress up their pets
and brought to church for blessing.

Keeper said this was a tribute
to St. Francis of Assisi
who adores animals and nature
pretty much like keeper
except that keeper is not a saint.

So the other keeper asked us
if we want to be taken to church
for blessing with other pets.

Geez, I don't know.
Do we have to?
I mean do you have to take the messy chore
of carrying all the houndsinheaven
(pretty impossible if not quite risky!)
for a church blessing?

Sumo says "I'm staying home"
Pica says "I want to go out"
(Of course, she is on heat and
wants to rattle all the other hounds
anywhere, I'm sure).
Bogart says "Duh?"

and I say: "Pass"
I'd rather stay home, get dirty
and play all day with Bogart
as long as I don't have to go out
and behave like a clown
among other hounds outside heaven.

Anyway, keeper blesses us everyday
and with her prayers and love
we're pretty much OK in heaven.
I hope everybody had a great day too!


ANOTHER STRANGE EVENT:
Fart, er Part 2

Except for the houndsinheaven and
the laundrywoman who comes every Sunday morning
the whole Rainbow Avenue was deathly quiet
that I thought all the animals have trooped
to church for blessings or what.

I found out later that the reason for the silence
was that everybody was busy
watching on TV or listening on radio
a boxing match featuring their Pinoy champ!
Now that's what I call a Pinoy community
all over the world in action!


So excuse me while me and Bogart
do ours . . .
